Why dentists like Dr. Nina Foley say ‘’NO’’ to regular toothpaste? 🧐

Did you know the first toothpaste was introduced in 1873?


That’s 152 years ago! And it came out in a small jar that looks just like this:


By 1892, it was sold in a tube – just like today.


And then in 1956, fluoride was added with a goal to ‘’prevent cavities’’, but that was one the last major changes.


Sure, we’ve seen sensitivity toothpastes in the 1980s


And whitening formulas in 1989


But there's one major issue with those:

The core ingredients in most toothpaste remain the same


  • artificial foaming agents

  • fluoride

  • and chemicals that have been around for decades
